Job Title: Regional Sales Manager - US (currently hiring in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Silicon Valley)
Position Summary: Regional Sales Managers are responsible for meeting and exceeding annual sales quota, developing new business accounts within a defined named account list and geographic territory and be able to handle the full sales cycle including prospecting, lead qualifying, identifying business requirements, solution development, demonstration, proposal development, and close.
Education: BA, BS or above
Major Job Function:
- Meet and/exceed annual sales quota
- Develop new business accounts within a defined named account or geographic territory. Candidate must be able to handle the full sales cycle, including prospecting, lead qualifying, identification of business requirements, solution development, demonstration, proposal development, and close.
- Work closely with Sales Management to identify key customer business requirements and transform them into EdgeCast solutions which meet the customer requirements
- Create solution proposals and/or answer qualified RFP's.
- Form durable business partnerships and relationships which will promote the long-term success of EdgeCast.
- 5-10 years sales experience selling CDN services, IP Transit/Co-location, high-end web hosting solutions, application hosting, or similar.
- Demonstrated consistent success in achieving an annual quota of $1.5M.
- Successfully closed deals comprising multiple products where the decision affects multiple business owners across the account.
- Sold products/services to high level executives (CTO, CEO, VP Technology, EVP Operations, General Manager, CFO) on the business side of the house.
- Existing relationships with executives and decision-makers at large media companies, TV/Movie networks, ad agencies, and web content owners is highly preferred.
- Existing book of business with clients who have implemented CDN solutions within their companies is a big plus.
- Technical sales background in content delivery and network/web infrastructure is preferred.
Job Title: Inside Sales Representative:
Position Summary: The Inside Sales Representative's primary responsibilities are to handle and address inbound leads from a defined territory, and outbound prospecting via phone to prospect lists and specific targeted vertical markets, as defined by sales and marketing strategies.
Education: BA, BS or above
Major Job Function:
- Accept, qualify, and close prospects generated via both outbound calling initiatives and incoming inquiries generated through web advertising and marketing campaigns
- Have a complete technical understanding of and ability to articulate and demonstrate the EdgeCast product line and value proposition
- Maintain account and opportunity pipeline with weekly reports to sales management
- Prospect into target accounts and leads generated via various marketing campaigns to find new revenue opportunities
- Provide high touch account management with an account base to determine upsell and other opportunities within an account
- Minimum of 3 Years Sales Experience; Content Delivery Network sales experience preferred.
- Background in Internet Technology (infrastructure, web hosting, CDN preferred)
- High-energy individual with excellent communication skills and discovery process skills a must
- Sales skills - prospecting, qualifying, defining value and solution selling
- Excellent presentation skills, ability to succinctly present EdgeCast's services via phone/web conference, trade shows, etc.
- Excellent computer skills, proficient with standard software products, Internet, and web applications
Job Title: System Administrator
Position Summary: System administrations are responsible for the maintenance and management of thousands of servers around the world that comprise the EdgeCast content delivery network. The candidate will have a thorough technical background and strong experience with multiple operating systems and web servers, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task and handle many technical responsibilities.
Education: BS preferred
Major Job Function:
- Maintain and monitor all EdgeCast servers that are located around the world.
- Be responsible for server performance, updates, management, and hardware.
- Work with engineering to develop new technology and deploy new products and services across the EdgeCast CDN.
- Be flexible and available to work shifts that may be outside of standard business hours.
- Deep experience maintaining, managing, and monitoring servers running Linux and Windows OS
- Knowledge of caching protocols and web servers a big plus.
- Experience with Flash Media Server and Windows Media in a CDN environment preferred.
- At least 5 years background in server and system administration for multiple servers in remote preferred.
Job Title: NOC (network operations) Engineer
Position Summary: NOC engineers are responsible for the 24/7 monitoring of the EdgeCast CDN, comprising hardware, software, and network technologies. The NOC engineers will have the ability to resolve many technical issues, and for escalations be able to escalate to the correct technical resources within EdgeCast for a timely resolution. NOC engineers also will be able to respond to and resolve customer issues, working directly with the EdgeCast customers via phone/chat/email.
Education: BS preferred
Major Job Function:
- Monitor all global EdgeCast servers, applications, network devices, and network connections.
- Work with the systems administration and network administration teams to quickly resolve complex issues within specific service level agreement times.
- Perform basic systems troubleshooting and management
- Work directly with EdgeCast customers to respond to and resolve technical issues and questions, and coordinate with the EdgeCast systems and network admin teams when necessary.
- Experience maintaining, managing, and monitoring servers running Linux and Windows OS preferred.
- Knowledge of network functionality, peering, IP transit, BGP a big plus
- Experience with hardware configuration including Windows and Linux systems preferred
- Strong written, oral, and customer communication skills required.
- Flexible to work off hours shifts in a 24/7 NOC environment.
